You make a good case for tennis elbow.
By my assessment you should be having pain on the outer side of elbow and back hand shots should be painful.

Hello it looks like tendinitis often occurs after injury or sudden jerk.
By physical examination the exact position of pain(tenderness) should be elicited (medial/lateral).
share some clinical picture to get the clinical idea about the location. Treatment for now is rest and ice pack application.
