2 drops in each side
Give cold syrup
And give Nasoclear drops 2 drops in each nostrils

Yes, If he is having cold symptoms like running nose, sneezing , cough, then he may get ear pain. If he is not having any cold symptoms, then it may be due to infection or something else.
