Is the only ligament sprain or tear? Have you undergone any diagnostic testing? Need to know grade of sprain or tear? Because treatment will be depending on grade/level of injury.

You should see an orthopedic for a complete evaluation, might need a MRI to find out involved joint structures and tissue. Once you know the degree of the injury, you should start physiotherapy. If it’s 1-2 degree of ligament injury it will easily take 10-12 weeks for a moderate recovery and could take up to 6-8 months for the ligaments to heal completely. Physiotherapy will be very important for a great recovery.

Health Tips
Ice, rest, no gym workout for affected joint, use a knee support during standing and walking.
