Painful and noisy knee can be a sign of early stage of arthritis or due to chondromalcia. Pain after playing can be due to muscle soreness.
Next Steps
Get a video consultation for detailed discussion about your condition for greater clarity. Do not get an X-ray unnecessarily before a proper consultation. Till then, use knee support. Apply warm water bags. Apply pain relief spray. Can start with mild strengthening and range of motion exercises once pain reduces. Video consult if you have any further questions.
