Pain after Plaster removal
Hi
My Metatarsal 3 got fractured and yesterday my cast was removed. But I feel pain while standing and walking in my leg. Its nearly I can't walk. Doctor said the pain will remain 8-10 days.
Pls let me know whether this is normal and if yes how long it will take to heal the pain.
I am very much afraid about this. I am 29 years old Female.

It's usual to get pain and difficulty in walking immediately after POP removal.Stiffness and swelling is also usually present. Ankle mobilization and elevation will help in reducing swelling and pain. It usually lasts a wk or two.

It takes 6 weeks for fracture to heel. Take it easy for first 2 weeks. If fracture healed - you might need physiotheraphy
