Oximeter Reading
Hello, I am aged 56 yrs my oximeter Reading coming at 94-96 on an average and pulse around 80.. Is it normal? During the daytimes it is coming around 96 sometimes 97 and during the night it is around 94 and sometimes 95..also please suggest on the pulse... I have taken it of my 17 years son also .. His reading is coming between 97-99 everytime and pulse around 101-108.. Please comment on both the readings

At or above 94 it is ok. Pulse reading better take manually. But between 60-100 it is normal.

The  normal  value of oximeter  should  be  between  95 to 100  and  pulse  should  be 72/ minutes. So both are normal of yours and your  son. If value  of  oximeter  go below  90 then  it is considered low,that time patient require oxygen.

Normal Oximeter reading is between 94 to 99. Normal Pulse rate is 62 to 100. So almost both are normal. Check manually once again for your son. It may vary.

Its ok for you. Pulse is high for your son. Some times oximeter give faulty data.
