Overuse of otrivin
Because of nose blockage since 30 days and trying all medicines prescribed till date, I used otrivin for 15 days when suffocation increased. Now inside of one nostril it hurts and the skin there become hard. Will side effects subside? Blockage didnt open after trying an arrays of medications like over the counter and antibiotics, antihistamine and steroid, there is no recovery. Please help me with it I'm having trouble sleeping because of it.

Prolonged use of otrivin nasal spray or drops cause rebound congestion of the nose.Continued nose block could be due to nasal polyps,turbinates or deviated nasal septum .Get examined by a ENT doctor.

Is may be due to crust formation and rebound vasodilation after otrivin withdrawal.
