Keep yourself busy when you’re usually doing some task it demands attention. It doesn’t have to necessarily be something complicated. You can play simple games on your handheld device. Be physically active, you can run, workout or play outdoor sports but if that’s not your cup-of-tea you can simple take a walk in a park and be appreciative about nature. Listen to music or watch movies or Youtube, you can drift yourself in rhythmic songs or fast beats ones depending on your choice. if you aren’t an avid music fan then you could surely keep yourself refrained from overthinking and anxiety by watching some light flicks or youtube videos which can be generic or specifically for this issue. Connect with a pet, they can be great from deviating your mind but if you don’t have one. You can surely find them in neighbourhood or in streets nearby. Spread some love :) . Art,if you have slightest of interest in sketching or simple doodling it will definately alter your mind into creating something more imaginative rather than irrational. Talk to someone, No it doesn’t have to be about how you’re in this bubble of overthinking and anxiety though that’s a whole different issue. You can talk about something positive, anything to anyone in your close proximity to someone who will calm you and won’t discourage your already eaten up mind with their talks. Cooking, you don’t have to be some masterchef for preparing yourself some light and healthy snack or drink. Now, overthinking do create hunger pangs, won’t it
