I eaten 5 tablets of Vitamin A 50000 IUD chewable within 60 hours, it was prescribed once a day but i misunderstood as twice a day. I had epithelial defect (scratch) and was applied bandage contact lense. But just now I figured out my mistake and Google info says is very dangerous, please guide.
Don’t panic 👍 A short term extra intake like this does not lead to serious toxicity, but check for symptoms like severe headache, vomiting, dizziness, blurred vision or abdominal pain. Stop further self dosing for now and consult once so your intake, symptoms and eye condition can be assessed properly and guided safely.
While taking 250,000 IU of Vitamin A over a 60-hour period is significantly higher than the intended dose, in a healthy adult, a one-time short-term overdose is rarely life-threatening. The body stores Vitamin A in the liver, and acute toxicity (Hypervitaminosis A) usually requires much higher or more prolonged exposure. Google’s warnings often refer to extreme cases; however, your concern is valid as high levels can cause temporary intracranial pressure or liver stress. The most important step right now is to stop the intake and monitor for specific neurological symptoms."

5 tablets in 2–3 days is more than advised, but one short-term overdose is usually not dangerous in adults. Stop Vitamin A now and avoid other Vitamin A supplements.
Watch for severe headache, vomiting, dizziness or blurred vision. If symptoms come, consult doctor urgently. Otherwise inform your eye doctor and continue treatment.
5x50,000 IU = 250,000 IU in 60 hours is a significant acute overdose — watch for nausea, vomiting, headache, weakness, or excessive thirst. Stop all Vitamin A immediately and hydrate well. Book a paid consult with me today to check liver function & Vitamin A levels — acute toxicity is manageable if caught early.
