Over sleeping
I have been sleeping for over 18 hours a day since the past 8-9 months. I go to bed around 2 am and wake up around 11 am.. Have a ver6 heavy meal and then sleep again at around 1 pm. Then i wake up at 6 pm and binge on another heavy meal and then sleep again till 11pm.. I wake up from 11pm to 2 am but at that time i am still in bed.. On days when i have to go out somewhere even for an hour, i come back extremely exhausted and jump straight into the bed.i find it very difficult to drag myself out of bed. Even when i am awake i cannot sit. I still lie down in bed. Whenever i am awake i cannot keep my eyes open and i am very lathargic. I crave for heavy carbs and junk food. I cant eat anything other than that. I have not gained weight in this time. My weight is already extra since 2 years. My height is 168 cms and weight is 68kgs. Please help me find a possible reason and cure for this problem.

There could be multiple causes for this to happen which would require further investigations and evaluation to find the cause of your increased sleep. You could attempt to follow the following lifestyle changes which could help you to an extent: - Try and follow a proper sleep cycle and time with 8 hours sleep at night and you can sleep for 1 hour as a nap in the afternoon if required. - Don't skip meals and don't overeat at any point( overeating junk food and carbohydrates can cause lethargy and sleep) so avoid eating heavy unhealthy meals and replace it with a healthy diet containing green leafy vegetables, lean meats, etc. - Exercise regularly(this maybe difficult since you get tired easily but it will progressively increase regularly) - Keep yourself entertained and actively participate in activities to keep yourself engaged and to not focus on sleep. The lifestyle will be difficult to change and will take time to get used and to be able to do it in complete. I also strongly recommend to get your blood tests so as to rule out any underlying cause for the sleep.
