Otitis externa is infection of the external auditory canal , may due to bacterial infection after violent scratching / injury ,Frunculosis canal or Fungal infestation . In each condition the treatment is different
. For fungal the candid ear drops may be helpful . In other conditions antibiotic along anti inflammatory anlocal dressing should be the treatment .

Putting candid drops sometimes alone is not effective, reason for this is bcoz it depends upon the infection, you may require antibiotic, anti inflammatory and other supportive medicines sometimes because otits externa can become worse in meantime if not treated properly ..
