Osteoarthritis after running a marathon
Hi. I developed pain in my left knee after I ran a marathon. I went to the doctor and took an x-ray. After looking at it the doctor said that I need to rest for 2 weeks. But the x-ray looks like I have developed osteoarthritis. Is it possible to develop osteoarthritis due to running? Because before the marathon I had no pain.

Hello Usually repeated stress leads to early OA.. regular running on hard surface leads to early OA due to tremendous GRF… So avoid running … do jog and avoid stairs and sitting cross legged
