Current evidence is : in severe mood disorder , where in all pharmacological, psychological, combinations of medications, ECT have been tried for prescribed time period repeatedly, reasonably, in therapeutic range with no significant improvement in patient’s mental health and it’s debilitating patient’ daily functioning.
Non compliance to medications by patient is one of the major cause for no improvement in symptoms. Where in patient takes medication intermittently.
