Operated thigh joint
My grandmother has broken thigh operated and has rod inside it. It was operated in September 2020. Now these days she is very much screaming and not able to sleep. She has diabeties and blood pressure issues. I gave her nexito plus by asking doctor for her better sleep at night but she is having high blood pressure and and very dowzy.

Need further history , did she walk previously, was this pain from beginning, does she have fever, need to examine and need previous xrays , may need further evaualtion and treatment.

Does she has hip pain on the operated side or what. X-ray says the fracture is yet to unite.. High BP and drowsy are cause of concern.
Next Steps
First meet up a physician and also I feel if she has hip pain then it’s better to get a CT pelvis done and see if there is something wrong with fracture healing..

More than 6 months after surgery bony union is expected. Present radiograph is not very comforting. I would like to see all other previous radiographs from the beginning of fracture and start of treatment. We maybe missing something here.

Given her age and co-morbidities, it would be better to investigate with blood tests to rule out infection as well as her electrolytes levels for being drowsy
