I had a accident in 2013 and my right femur had multiple fracture so was operated and had a im rod fitted,so I want to take that rod out and want to know the complications.

No major complications expected...routine anesthesia and surgery related complications...get rod removed as later on it becomes difficult with time...go for it...

Taking out of IM rod has similar risks as any other surgery. Only thing that must be remembered that after so many years there is a lot of bone build-up around the implant and the rod might be stuck inside.
There is less than 1% chance that your surgeon might not be able to take out the stuck implant. It is successful in 99% cases.
