Getting MRI done when metal rod is there
I got metal rod implanted in my right thigh some 13 years back. Now, for some swelling I need to get MRI of my left thigh. Is it okay to get this MRI done? As I am afraid of some problem happening to rod during MRI.

Modern MRIs allow implants in patients to get MRI scan. Check with the centre.

If the implant is made of titanium if you're not be a problem.Implant made of other materials usually create distorted MRI images please check out with your local radiologist.
