Open mouth during Sleep, heavy Drooling
Hello Doctor, I have a serious problem of sleeping with my mouth opened. I tried to control this habit but I couldn't do it. I have this habit from past 10 years i remember. I did Route Canal Treatment and Crown placement in my front tooth. I feel awkward sometimes while sleeping in bus or train Also I use to drool heavily during my sleep. How to control both. Please suggest.

hello, sleeping with open mouth could mean that you are breathing with mouth open. This could be because of nasal obstruction or enlarged adenoids. Visit an ENT specialist and get it checked. Then consult a dentist.

Open mouth could mean mouth breathing usually because of nasal obstruction and possible enlarged adenoids. If this problem is corrected then your drooling problem should be solved.
Next Steps
Visit an ENT specialist to rule out any nasal obstruction may it be even a polyp.
Health Tips
Then get yourself examined by a dentist to check alignment of teeth and incompetent lips. This would be the right age to rectify the problem rather than ignoring it.
