Ocd causes headache and over-thinking?
I have been diagnosed with OCD..since one year i have been taking medicines 1) first few months I take lower dose.now as per doctor advising since few months I am taking flunil 60mg dose 2) but still some intrusive thoughts and excessive thoughts are coming...it leads to thinking for several minutes and hours for sometimes 3) it disturbs mindset & routine pattern..it leads to headache and stress also..I faced headache pressure too because of OCD and over-thinking 4) My mental health disturbs sometimes because of OCD... 5) I am taking tryptophan effective foods which boosts Serotonin levels..but still some thoughts leads to excessive and getting headache pressure because of OCD 6) Even In childhood because of some situations and environmental factors I faced some mild ocd symptoms in childhood days I think.but since 2 years I am facing this OCD effectively Please clarify How much time it takes to decrease OCD..Please clarify sir/madam

Hello there. Sorry to hear that medications aren't working out well for you. It is better to integrate psychotherapy along with medications for better response. Among therapies for OCD, CBT is highly recommended with good evidence. Kindly discuss with your doctor to refer you to a psychologist trained in CBT for OCD. Best wishes

The intensity of OCD symptoms start decreasing in 4 to 6 weeks. But for full remission you have to incorporate behavioural therapy along with pharmacological treatment. 
Next Steps
If with flunil 60 there is no complete remission then another drug can be added to augment the effectiveness of flunil.
