Obsession/ Negative thought/ irritation
Doctor, On 25th June I had consulted with a psychiatrist for my 7year son, he is under medication (tablet Zosert 25 and Syrup Mentat as mentioned earlier) today on 29th I observed my son has been suffering from pinworm and itching on anus. I want to understand whether this obsession or negative thoughts are due to pinworm/thread worm infection and what is the treatment of pinworm/thread worm infection. Thanks

Hi, Obsessive thoughts are not due to worm infestation. Kindly consult a paediatrician

Hi. The itching needs to be evaluated and treated by a pediatrician. To be able to tell you if the symptoms are related to his infection, I need to know what the exact symptoms are for which he was taken to a psychiatrist and which started first, the behavioral symptoms or the itching.
Next Steps
Meet a pediatrician for the itching. Meet a psychiatrist to review the need for medications.
Health Tips
*there is always a solution, you just need to find someone to walk you to it*

First contact peadiatrician for pin worm , if his symptoms subsides in 15 days after treatment, then it is due to this,if not then both are independent
