Obessive Compulsive Disorder
I want help as I was diagnosed with Obessive Compulsive Disorder at the age of 17. My parents took me to a psychiatry I was under medication at that time after taking medication I used to feel little relief but after some days I stopped taking medication and that was my bigggest mistake now I am facing the same symptoms I used to feel it's hard to live with ocds symptoms.I request to please help me and give me suggestions to overcome this disorder.

I wish i can give any other advice than consulting a psychiatrist asap. As a psychiatrist i knw how frustrating it is to control the urges. Do consult.

OCD is a relapsing and remitting disorder, so needs long term treatment. 2/3rd cases ocd response to treatment like u did but it relapsed as u stopped treatment without consulting your doctor. There is high chance that you will again improve by medication like u did before. There is lot of option to treat OCD, so meet a psychiatrist ASAP.

It's not wise to stop.psychotropic medications without consulting with the treating doctor.Relapses are common in psychiatric illnesses.
