Hi... Hope this diagnosis is coming through a Psychiatrist and you are not self diagnosing yourself with OCD. Treatment of OCD requires a combination of medication and psychotherapy (CBT). Medication is prescribed when necessary by a Psychiatrist and Psychotherapy is conducted by a Psychologist. Duration of treatment depends upon the severity of your concern and your willingness to act upon changing it. Typically such therapies last for 6-8 months to 1-2 years with weekly sessions.
Next Steps
Consult a Psychologist. CBT will work well in your case.
