Placenta near the cervix can cause bleeding on exertion, like that in intercourse or activities causing pelvic strain. That's why the advice. Kindly follow and review scan at 18 wks

if placenta is on lower side there can be chances of bleeding that can end up in abortion..so avoid coitus..

Placenta is located at lower position..so chances of bleeding can be there..so follow your doctor  advice..it may or may not migrate upwards as pregnancy advances..connect for details
