Not gaining weight
My daughter is 23 months old she was born premature by 1 month she had 1.9 kg weight at birth. she had arterial switch operation on second day of her birth the weigh was 1.6 kg when discharged from hospital .after operation she has been normal she gained weight normally for 1 year .cardiologist have said that she can lead normal life. for six months she is gaining weight slowly she is 8.6 kg now it is same for three months what should i do

Usyually in cases of preterm child there will a peruod of catch up growth that will start after 2 yrs of age. If the child is active enough nothing to worry about weight. Concentrate on her intelectula mile stones than weight. Weight can improve with growing age

To improve weight Feed small feeds with calorie dense Decrease the amount of milk Improve more solid foods Weekly thrice egg or meat Can add fmsry friuts to the food or can be given separatly. Don forcefully feed the child. Guve her choice how much to eat and at the same time feed her healthy food. Usually premature child wil have low hemoglobin levels consult uour pesiatrician for any supplementations if needed only and as prescribed by doctor.
