Nightfall issue
Hello Doctor, I am a 22-year-old male, and I am currently experiencing very frequent nightfall almost on a daily basis. And I am having from nightfall from very long time. I have tried masturbating to reduce the frequency, but the nightfall still occurs. Because of how frequently this is happening, I am feeling constantly tired, fatigued, and low on energy during the day. I would like to know if this frequency is abnormal for my age, what could be causing it, and what medical or lifestyle steps I can take to reduce it and regain my energy. Thank you.

Frequent nightfall is a normal physiological phenomenon, especially in young men. However experiencing it almost every day for a prolonged period is uncommon and deserves medical evaluation.
Next Steps
To reduce frequency. Maintain a regular sleep schedule. Exercise regularly Manage stress through relaxation techniques. Avoid excessive sexual stimulation before bedtime Eat a balanced diet and stay well hydrated. Since your symptoms have been persistent and are affecting your quality of life,I recommend consulting a sexologist or urologist for a detailed assessment.
Health Tips
Avoid self-medication Treatment should be based on the underlying cause after proper evaluation.

Nightfall (nocturnal emissions) is a normal physiological phenomenon, especially in young men. However, daily or almost daily nightfall occurring over a prolonged period, particularly when it is associated with persistent fatigue, disturbed sleep, or affecting your quality of life, deserves a proper medical evaluation. While nightfall itself does not cause weakness or permanent loss of energy, frequent awakenings, poor sleep quality, stress, anxiety, excessive sexual stimulation, or other underlying conditions may contribute to the tiredness you are experiencing. There are several factors that may increase the frequency of nocturnal emissions, including frequent sexual thoughts, excessive exposure to pornography or erotic content, psychological stress, irregular sleep patterns, and, less commonly, underlying medical conditions. Since you have been experiencing this problem for a long time despite masturbating, it would be appropriate to have a comprehensive assessment rather than assuming it is due to a single cause.

Health Tips
Maintain a regular sleep schedule, engage in daily physical activity, and avoid excessive consumption of pornography or sexually stimulating content, especially before bedtime. Practice stress-management techniques such as meditation, yoga, or deep-breathing exercises, as psychological stress can influence sleep quality and sexual dreams. Ensure that you are eating a balanced diet, staying well hydrated, and getting adequate rest. With appropriate evaluation and lifestyle modifications, most young men experiencing frequent nocturnal emissions notice significant improvement, and the condition can usually be managed effectively without long-term health consequences. Thank you

Please be deeply reassured: nightfall, or nocturnal emission, is a completely natural, biological mechanism and is not a disease. At 22 years old, your body produces high levels of testosterone and continuously generates semen. When the seminal vesicles become full, the body uses nocturnal emissions during REM sleep as a natural "overflow valve" to release excess fluid. While a daily frequency feels alarming and frustrating, it is not anatomically harmful. Crucially, nightfall does not cause physical weakness, fatigue, or a loss of vital energy. The fluid released consists primarily of water, proteins, and enzymes, the loss of which does not deplete the body's physical stamina. The constant daytime fatigue and low energy you are experiencing are almost certainly driven by the intense psychological stress, anxiety, and guilt you are feeling about this condition, which severely disrupts your sleep architecture and drains your mental reserves.
Next Steps
Consult a Urologist or Sexologist for Reassurance: A quick consultation can help formally rule out any localized prostate or urinary tract irritation (which can occasionally increase ejaculatory reflex sensitivity) and give you clear, anatomical reassurance. Evaluate Your Sleep and Stress Levels: Since nocturnal emissions happen during specific sleep cycles, high baseline anxiety or looking at highly stimulating content right before bed can alter sleep depth and trigger more frequent emissions. Address Daytime Fatigue with a General Physician: Have a doctor check for common, actual causes of chronic tiredness, such as vitamin D3 or B12 deficiencies, poor sleep hygiene, or high stress levels, rather than blaming the nightfall.
Health Tips
Avoid reading unverified online articles or cultural myths claiming that semen loss drains your body of power or life force. This outdated anxiety—often called Dhat syndrome—is medically disproven and is the direct cause of the fatigue and worry you are experiencing. Fix Your Bedtime Routine: Avoid sleeping flat on your back, as this position can cause the bedding to rub against the penis, leading to mechanical stimulation during the night. Try sleeping on your side instead. Keep the Mind Calm Before Sleep: Dedicate the last hour before bed to non-stimulating activities like reading a book or listening to calming music, and avoid heavy meals or drinking large amounts of water right before hitting the pillow.
