Nifty SR 100 mg
Good afternoon doctor. My mother is a diabetic patient on insulin. Wanted to know that whether Nifty SR 100 mg causes blood sugar level to increase ? And whether blood sugar checking strips that are expired 1 month before shows high sugar levels ? Thank you

Nifty SR should not  effect the blood glucose levels. Not to use expired strips Get a  home collection for Blood sugar fasting and PP, HbA1C , KFT and urine routine

Nifty SR will not cause effects on glycemic status Expired glucose strips will give erroneous results

Suggest you to get fasting & PP sugar. Prior to consultation, & HbA1 c once in 3 months

Hi, please don't use expired gluco strips. It might give confusing reports. Why r u using Nifty SR ? If it is for UTI, then it's cleared that she has raised sugar already. U have to control insulin doses. Must take consultancy. I have my diabetic clinic in delhi.

nifty sr has nitrofurantoin, usually used to treat uti. It has nothing to do with blood sugar, bt has to be used with caution in patients with renal disease, rather should be avoided. Regarding sugar checking strips, its better to discard them after expiry
