hello, you can do warm salt water rinses as a home remedy, but this will give only temporary relief from pain. you need to visit a dentist and get it checked. get an x-ray done. pain could be due to erupting wisdom tooth. the best treatment for it is to get it removed. if there is a cavity , get it filled.

Usually pain radiates from lower jaw to upper one. So it may be because of the tooth which is under treatment. There can be a possibility pf new cavity in upper tooth also. Ask your dentist to address the problem.

Pain during dental treatment could be because of 1. Underlying infection which takes time to heal. 2. Hidden decay, compromised gum health, poor oral hygiene 3. Wisdom tooth eruption which gives you radiating pain around the ear or lower neck region sometimes. To give you more precisely suggestions, radiographs of the area where you complain of pain will be required.
Next Steps
please tell your dentist to have a thorough examination of your symptoms and oral cavity followed by radiographs if required.
Health Tips
