You should stop lactating your 3 year old son And you should be taking calcium supplements regularly rather than taking random multivitamins

Ashwagandha doesn't have solid safety data for breastfeeding mothers, which is exactly why this box itself tells anyone pregnant or nursing to check with a doctor first. You're only nursing briefly at bedtime, so the actual exposure would be small. Still, most doctors prefer to skip ashwagandha-containing supplements while breastfeeding, as a precaution.
Next Steps
Look for a prenatal or postnatal multivitamin without ashwagandha. Plain vitamin and mineral formulas without herbal extracts are an easier call while you're nursing, and your gynaecologist or physician can suggest one suited to your diet.
Health Tips
Stop it and consult your doctor if your son ever seems unusually drowsy or fussy after a feed, though this is unlikely given how little you're nursing.
