Nerve stiffness above knee
My mother aged about 48 years and last week she had suddenly knee pain she can't able to stand and walk.we consulted a ortho doctor and he suggested some medicines and she is able to walk but now she is complaining of nerve stiffness above knee so pls suggest

This treatment is being suggested on bases of the information provided. However I would like to examine & investigate your mother in detail. -Control  Hypertension, Diabetes or  metabolic disorder, if there is any. -Any way it may be tried, --. Dolokind Plus (Mankind) [Aceclofenac100 mg +Paracetamol 350 mg] 1 tab. OD & SOS. X 5 days. --. Caldikind plus  (Mankind) 1 tab OD x 10 days. -(You may need help of your local doctor to get these medicines.) --. Fomentation with warm water. Let the part not be exposed to cold. --. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding. --. Use no pillow under the head. --. It may be due to arthritis. Do quads exercises and use ice fomentation

According to your mother history she is suffering from osteoarthritis knee joint which we usually see in old age after 45yrs early or later depends on occupation the fliud called synovial will decrease and bone on bone in joint rub causes pain and also stifness

Avoid squatting, climbing stairs, apply volini spary or gel and ice pack helpful along with painkillers

What I gather from your mother's history is that she might be suffering from osteoarthritis involving patellofemoral joint ,which can be assessed by orthopaedic surgeon.
