Need to prepone period by 5 days.
I have quite regular periods, but I need to prepone my next cycle by 4-5 days, since I cannot afford a 10-12 day delay. Is it possible to?

Hello, yes, it is technically possible to prepone your period, but it depends entirely on which day of your cycle you are currently on. How it works: To prepone a period, we usually prescribe a short course of hormonal pills (progesterone) for about 5 to 7 days. When you stop taking the pills, the sudden drop in hormones triggers an early "withdrawal bleed" within 2 to 3 days. The catch: Preponing is generally less predictable than postponing. It only works well if started early enough in your cycle (usually at least 10 to 15 days before your expected period date). If you are already too close to your due date, it may not work or could just cause irregular spotting.
Next Steps
Please reply with the first day of your last menstrual period (LMP) and your expected due date. Once I have those dates, I can tell you if we have enough time to prepone and prescribe the exact medication and dosage for you.

Preponing is not so easy and it might not happen as we expect according to time Sometimes can be delayed And I sincerely advise you not to take medications fr preponing or postponing the cycles as it ll create a hormonal imbalance
