I am using a combination inhaler with Formoterol 6 mcg and Budesonide 200 mcg — 2 puffs in the morning and 2 puffs at night.
I have planned to do a Pulmonary Function Test (PFT) on Monday morning. This test is my own decision, not suggested by a doctor.
My past PFT reports show a continuous decrease in lung function, so I want to understand my current condition.
My question:
Should I stop using the inhaler before the PFT?
If yes, then how many hours before the test should I stop?
If no, then can I ask the lab to do both pre-med and post-med testing?
