Pain that starts from the neck and radiates to the arm and also down the leg on the same side, especially when MRI and X-ray are reported as normal, is most often due to functional nerve irritation, myofascial pain syndrome, or postural cervical spine strain, rather than a structural damage. Long hours of mobile or laptop use, stress, poor sleep posture, or sustained muscle spasm around the neck and shoulder can irritate nerves and cause widespread referred pain even without visible MRI changes. Since this has lasted a month, the focus should be on correcting posture, limiting prolonged sitting or phone use, using a firm pillow with neutral neck alignment, and gentle daily neck and shoulder mobility. If she develops progressive weakness, numbness, clumsiness of hand, gait imbalance, or bladder issues, then further neurological evaluation is required, but otherwise this condition usually improves gradually with conservative care and time.
