Disc protrusion is mild but thickening of the posterior longitudinal ligament is an additional concern. If you develop jerkiness in the hands of legs, or tingling and numbness in the fingers then you must see an ortho surgeon immediately. If not, then you can give a trial of medicines and physio. If pain reduces with medicines then there is nothing to worry.
