Key Symptoms: Nausea and vomiting soon after eating or drinking anything Difficulty maintaining balance while walking Constant headache A feeling of brain fog and a heavy head Possible Causes: Vestibular disorders like vestibular migraine or inner ear imbalance may lead to headache, nausea, and loss of balance. Migraine variant can cause nausea, head heaviness, and brain fog even without a typical pulsating headache. Gastric issues such as gastritis or acid reflux can cause vomiting soon after meals. Electrolyte imbalance or vitamin B12 deficiency may lead to poor balance and confusion or brain fog. Thyroid dysfunction can contribute to fatigue and mental fogginess. Neurological causes, such as raised intracranial pressure or early space-occupying lesions, are rare but must be ruled out due to persistent symptoms. Functional causes like anxiety-related disorders may sometimes manifest with a combination of these symptoms. Suggested Investigations: Complete blood count and ESR to check for infection or inflammation Vitamin B12 and Vitamin D levels Thyroid function tests (TSH) Liver and kidney function tests Brain MRI if balance issues and headache persist or worsen Upper GI endoscopy if vomiting continues Immediate Advice: Take bland, small meals like curd rice, dry toast, or clear soup. Avoid oily, spicy, or heavy foods. Avoid coffee, cold drinks, and smoking if applicable. Stay hydrated with sips of water or oral rehydration solution. You may consider starting Vitamin B12 and D supplements (consult a doctor before starting). A short course of antiemetic like domperidone or ondansetron may help but should be taken under medical advice. When to See a Doctor Urgently: If vomiting doesn’t improve within 2–3 days If headache worsens or is associated with blurred vision or speech difficulty If there's any episode of fainting or severe imbalance Conclusion: These symptoms point toward a possibly reversible cause such as vitamin deficiency, gastric irritation, or migraine-related condition. However, a detailed checkup is essential to rule out serious causes. Most likely, the condition is treatable with appropriate care and timely diagnosis.
