Nasal Drop during pregnancy
Hello Doctor, My wife is having severe nasal congestion. She had one Montek LC, yet the cold is not reducing. She is 21 weeks Pregnant. Which Nasal Drop is safe for Nasal Congestion during second trimester pregnancy?

She can use Nasonex Nasal drops.  These are steroid based but given as nasal drops they are not absorbed into circulation. She can also try steam inhalation with Karvol easybreath capsules.

You can try the Nasivion saline drops which is basically just hypertonic saline. If its not subsiding with that the usual Nasivion nasal drops containing Oxymetazoline is safe in pregnancy too. Also try some steam inhalation or Vicks vaporub If the nasal congestion persists or she develops more symptoms like headache , do consult.
