With my experience so far and also with the knowledge available elsewhere, I tend to conclude that as of now, there is no cure for narcissistic personality disorder. Narcissists often show great improvements in their behaviours but it has been found that the improvement does not sustain for long in most cases. Males are at a higher risk of becoming narcissists in comparison with females. Life of a person with a narcissist as a partner, spouse or parent usually becomes traumatic emotionally and also sometimes physically. My experience shows that those who could muster the emotional strength to move away from narcissists did much better in terms of peace of mind and quality of life. I have seen that some who could draw a line (the limit of acceptance of behaviour) while dealing with a closely connected narcissist suffered much lesser. Please remember, there is no perfect person ever in terms of mental health, behaviour etc. With that, someone's behaviour becomes a cause for concern when it starts affecting the peace of mind and mental wellness of the person himself / herself and of the others who are closely connected. Narcissism, like most other personality disorders, gets exhibited in varying degrees. Such disorders, in most cases, appear as syndromes along with some other mental health issues. Managing narcissism requires professional help from psychologists / psychiatrists. Those who have gathered sufficient awareness about this mental health condition tend to handle their life situations much better.

Hi, Healing from narcissistic abuse involves several crucial steps. First, it’s important to acknowledge the abuse and understand that it wasn’t your fault. Seeking professional help, such as therapy with a counselor experienced in narcissistic abuse, can provide guidance and support. Establishing no contact or minimal contact helps in regaining control over your life. Surround yourself with supportive friends and family who validate your experiences and feelings. Engage in self-care practices, like exercise, hobbies, and mindfulness, to rebuild your self-esteem and sense of identity. Finally, educating yourself about narcissistic behavior can empower you to set healthy boundaries in future relationship

Healing from narcissistic abuse can be a challenging process, but it's definitely possible with time, self-reflection, and support. Starting with deep breathing exercises and journaling can help you gain clarity on your thoughts and emotions. Counseling or therapy is highly recommended, as it provides a safe space to explore your experiences, understand how the abuse has affected you, and develop strategies for healing and moving forward. A therapist can help you work through any trauma, rebuild your self-esteem, and learn healthy relationship patterns. Remember, healing is a journey, and it's okay to take it one step at a time. If you're interested, I offer affordable online counseling sessions through Mind Sculpt, and I'm here to support you in your healing process.
