Hi,
The physical symptoms you are experiencingâsuch as constant stomach rumbling, exhaustion, daytime sleepiness, and bodily fearâare classic signs of how chronic stress and job anxiety directly disrupt your gut-brain axis. To address this, start by calming your nervous system during work with quick box-breathing exercises (in hale 4s, hold 4s, exhale 4s) to reduce the physical panic. Improve your digestion and energy by eating smaller, low-FODMAP or light meals, staying hydrated, and taking a short 10-minute walk after eating to ease stomach distress. To tackle career uncertainty, set strict boundaries between work and rest, write down a concrete action plan for your job goals to regain a sense of control, and establish a consistent sleep routine; if symptoms persist, consulting a primary care doctor to rule out underlying digestive or nutritional issues is strongly recommended.

Your symptoms may be related to anxiety and stress, which can affect both your mind and body. Constant worrying, fear about your job or future, poor concentration, tiredness, and stomach discomfort are common when stress becomes overwhelming. However, since you are also experiencing persistent fatigue and gut-related symptoms, it is important to rule out any underlying medical condition.
Next Steps
I recommend booking a consultation with me so we can understand the root cause of your symptoms through a detailed assessment and create a personalized treatment plan. If needed, I can also guide you on whether further medical evaluation is required. Early support can help you regain focus, reduce anxiety, and improve your overall well-being.
Hi, thank you for sharing your concern. I can understand how difficult it must be to manage your work when your mind feels constantly occupied with worries and your body feels tired throughout the day. Sometimes, prolonged stress and uncertainty about work or the future can affect both our emotional well-being and physical health, including concentration and gut health. Since you are also experiencing stomach discomfort and excessive tiredness, it is important to have a medical evaluation to rule out any physical causes. Along with that, consulting a counselling psychologist trained in CBT can help you identify what is maintaining these worries and learn practical strategies to manage them effectively. With the right support, these difficulties can improve. Take one step at a time. Take care.

, thank you for sharing this. From what you’ve described, it seems like stress and anxiety may be affecting both your mind and body. When we’re constantly worried about work or the future, the brain stays in “alert mode,” which can lead to overthinking, poor concentration, tiredness, disturbed sleep, and even stomach symptoms because the gut and brain are closely connected. Rather than fighting the thoughts, try setting aside 15–20 minutes each day as a “worry time,” practice slow breathing for a few minutes when you feel overwhelmed, and focus on completing one task at a time instead of thinking about everything at once. If these symptoms have been continuing for several weeks, consider consulting both a physician (to rule out any physical causes for the fatigue and gut issues) and a psychologist for anxiety management.
