My kid has running nose and cough

Asked for Male, 1 Years

I have a 15 month old kid. He has running nose and cough for the past 3 days. We have given nasoclear and mucolite. It has still not healed. Can you suggest what needs to be done. Should we visit a doctor yet OR should we change the medicine or wait for few more days. Also what are the home remedies that we can try

Hello and welcome.Most common cause of cough and running nose is viral.It usually takes 3-5 days to resolve.Is child accepting food?How is his activity?Give him sufficient water and liquids.Give warm liquids.Mix a small teaspoon of turmeric in warm milk.Use a humidifier in room .If symptoms persist or increase see a doctor and get reviewed.
