Yes plz avoid popcorn, peanut, almonds giving directly, sometimes babies can swallow them in lungs, can cause difficulties in breathing and fast breathing and pneumonia
Next Steps
If child develops prolonged cough, fast breathing and choking then immediately go to hospital
If it enter lung there will be sudden bouts of cough.
If the child is able to chew properly and swallow can give such foods but preferably after 4 years
If the child had any bouts of sudden cough while having popcorn . If not then you can wait and watch.
As such there’s not much of an issue as the baby is 2 years old and if chewed properly should not be an issue.
Next Steps
If any cough develops see the doctor and follow accordingly
