MRi contrast vs non in contrast
Is MRi widout contrast as effective to rule out diseases? I have seen doctors prescribing MRI with contrast rarely... My sister had MRI brain plain.. she read online that MRi wid contrast is superior.... was MRi plain wastage of money? Her symptoms were general- dizziness, weakness, headaches... is it in special cases only that they give contrast

Only for special cases contrast is required. Contrast dye as such has side effects. Mri brain plain was the needed investigation to go far in your case.
