HI
By orthodontic (BRACES) treatment you can only move the teeth .....jaw movements is only possible by orthopedic treatment only but orthopedic means of movement is only possible during the growth phase of your jaws....concerning your age,you can only go for surgical method of jaw movements....
Regarding relation of jaw muscles, occlusion and tmj which is very vast to explain in detail....
In simple disharmonious occlusion of teeth will have effect on jaw muscles which in turn affects the tmj
So treating the occlusal problems by orthodontic treatment will have indirect effect on tmj
Next Steps
kindly visit dentist for further clinical examination and management

Haha... you are asking a question that we study over 2-3 years. It is difficult to explain here. I think, as a patient, you need to consult your Dentist first. And ask them relevant questions after that.
Only teeth are moved during orthodontic treatment jaw is moved with orthopedic forces only during growth n after growth its surgical orthodontic corrections. Hope that answers your question
The lower jaw does not move during orthodontic treatment. The teeth move. The teeth can be moved to a more stable position maintaining a harmony woth the muscles the upper teeth and the tmj joint. Jaw muscles, tmj and occlusion is a topic that takes 3 years to study amd further entire lifetime kf understanding the reltionship with each other. Its just like how the nose is connected to smell, tongue to taste and also heart to life.

Please consult an orthodontist for further knowledge and advice. I would also recomend not following google. Understanding the tooth movement takes almost 10 years of study. Please visit your dentist.
