Let me clear the biggest worry first - Mounjaro does not cause diabetes. It actually improves insulin sensitivity and is used to treat diabetes, so stopping it will not make you diabetic. What does happen is weight regain, because it works by reducing appetite and slowing stomach emptying, and once it is stopped that appetite returns. Studies show most people regain a large part of the lost weight within a year of stopping, so it is best thought of as long term treatment for obesity, not a short course. Before starting, it is not a drug to self start - you need your BMI, waist, sugar, HbA1c, thyroid, lipids and liver tests checked, and it is avoided if there is a personal or family history of medullary thyroid cancer, MEN2, pancreatitis, or in pregnancy and while planning pregnancy. The dose starts low and is stepped up slowly, and nausea, vomiting, constipation and acidity are common in the early weeks. It works best alongside a proper protein rich diet and strength training, otherwise you lose muscle along with fat. Please start it only under a doctor's supervision with regular follow up. Happy to assess you on Practo or at Synergy Multispeciality Hospital, Miraj.

Please share details of your problem.  Mounjaro can cause relapse of weight gain,  when stopped. Better try natural lifestyle measures,  reduce weight naturally and consistently.
