Miscarriage
Hi Dr I am 7 weeks pregnant as per LMP. But in the scan its shown 5 weeks 6 days and found no growth and no heartbeat.My doctor mentioned that there is chance of miscarriage. Last sunday i found brown discharge and on tuesday night light bleeding with 2/3 clots and cramps. It was only that night. The next day no cramps and having very light brown bleeding. Is this mean miscarriage?pls suggest

U need a repeat ultrasound to confirm the present status of pregnancy post bleeding n passage of clots

You could wait for another week , in case of delayed conception the heart beat might b seen late. Meanwhile you could take progesterone supplements for pregnancy .

Ideally by 6weeks of pregnancy fetus with heartbeat should be seen .since in ur scan at 5weeks 6days if no growth or heartbeat was seen them better to repeat a scan after 2 weeks Spotting or bleeding could be suggestive of impending abortion or internal bleeding and subchorionic hematoma . Needs further evaluation
