Mirtaz 7.5 diabetes
I have been prescribed mirtaz 7.5 for sleep I have been taking this from last three days Yesterday I checked my sugar levels increased Today I have serious headache and body pain I want to know 1- can I stop mirtaz suddenly I just took it for 3 days for sleep or do I need to do tapering 2- will My sugar levels come back to normal after stopping?

3 days of mirtaz is unlikely to be the reason. Maybe taken for few weeks it can. You can stop it suddenly and consult an astute psychiatrist if insomnia recurs. Good luck

Sugar level is unlikely to change within three days. Though if you’re taking just for sleep disturbances you can take other medications and try sleep hygiene and relaxation techniques. Check whether your in pre-diabetic phase, family history of diabetes.

Yes u can stop if ur taking only for sleep… No way related to ur sugars…relax…do Hba1c test to confirm

Your sugars will not increase within three days of taking Mirtazepine. There might be other reasons. Never stop or start psychiatric medication without psychiatrist consult

If i am not wrong, you have posted this question yesterday. Your sugar levels were normal. Yes you can stop it without tapering if its not suiting you.
