Mild disc bulge L5 S1
Hello Doctor. I'm having mild disc bulge at L5 S1 and disc flattening at L4 L5 which I developed recently and I'm 23 years old. I usually travel long on bike and do go to gym. I don't know why I developed this problem. I have vitamin d deficiency. I'm a civil service student. I went for physiotherapy for 15days on doctor's advice and had temporary relief and I started playing cricket after the course is over. Again it resulted in the pain which I'm getting only when I'm doing some vigorous activity. Even since many months I'm getting pain in the both leg bones below the knees until the foot which slowly subside if I don't play cricket or something. I love being fit and this has become a hindrance for me. Please help..!! I don't have any bad habits. I wanna become fit like before and be fit.

Greetings,   sorry about the pain. disc bulge is not to be concerned about. Your muscles are the one which moves you, so you need to concentrate on muscle strengthening and flexibility.  If muscles are weak around lumbar region your disc is in trouble.  Meaning your disc tries to work instead of the muscles which are weak, hence the bulge and pain.
Next Steps
You have seen physio but 15 days is not the correct protocol to get the work done.  you need at least 3 months to get your muscles strong.  so talk to your physio and plan treatment program.  not necessarily you need daily physio session.
