Early morning occasional mild breathlessness - I swim for about 2 & 1/2 hours every day - for some time I do underwater swimming up to 12 foot depth. I have been diagnosed with reducible hiatus hernia. I am wondering if the chlorine in the swimming pool could affect the lungs adversely? What could be causing the discomfort?

That's appreciable if you swim so much at this age.. try not to do under water for few days and if symptoms go away, gradually increase again going from 3 feet underwater to maximum 6 feet underwater.. hope it helps
