Your pain could be due to muscle or ligament sprain. You have not mentioned about any injury, fall or lifting heavy weights. If it has resulted from any injury like jerk on a rough road, or lifting heavy weight, then a few days rest will help. Avoid bending forward, sitting on floor, lifting weights. Take mild anelgesics with Antacid. If pain still persists, it could be something deeper inside, a disc bulge or something pressing on the nerve. In that case you should consult a Neurospine specialist.
