Metformin for high hba1c
I have 6.6 hba1c blood work value. Dr(GP) gave me metformin 1000mg twice a day. So 2000mg a day. I am taking it since December. Is this dosage high for this blood work value? I feel nauseated and bloated. I have also gained weight in the last 2 years because of another medical reason. I never had high hba1c before. Is taking 2000mg a day ok for this value? I have to repeat blood work only after 6 months.
