Better to follow your physician’s advice. Though it is mentioned as 2 tablets twice daily, physicians can prescribe according to your health condition. Along with that you can have Saraswatharista 20ml twice daily with equal quantity of water after food. Take shirodhara treatment with Brahmi taila

If your doctor has advised 1 tablet twice daily then u should stick with that dose only because doctor has advised you after examining you and it's always better to start with  small dose and see how your body is responding. Atleast  stick with the dose for a minimum of 15 days and if u don't see the result then you can again consult the doctor and increase or decrease the dose accordingly. But please don't increase the dose on your own.
Next Steps
Consult a doctor before doing anything

You can start with Bhramari Pranayam, it helps in reducing anxiety

Hi, thanks for the detailed question. You're 24, facing **general anxiety, low concentration**, and have a **history of prostatitis**. Your doctor advised **Himalaya Mentat**, and you’re wondering about the correct dosage and long-term safety. Let’s clear things up with a grounded, safe, and holistic approach. --- ## ✅ 1. **Mentat: Dosage, Safety & Long-Term Use** ### ➤ **Dosage Clarification** * The **label dose** (2 tablets twice daily) is a **general recommendation**. * Your doctor advised **1 tablet twice daily**, likely for **mild to moderate symptoms** or to **observe how your body responds**. > **⚠️ Always start with the lower dose**, especially in conditions like anxiety where **nervous system sensitivity** is high. ### ✔️ **So yes:** * You can *stay at 1 tablet twice daily* for 2–4 weeks. * If there’s **no improvement**, and **no side effects**, you can **gradually increase to 2 tablets twice daily** under supervision. --- ## 🕒 2. **How Long Can I Take Mentat?** * Mentat is **herbal and non-addictive**. * It is **safe for long-term use** (3–6 months or even more), but best under periodic review. 🧠 Mentat contains herbs like: * **Brahmi** – enhances memory, reduces anxiety * **Mandukaparni (Gotu Kola)** – improves focus * **Ashwagandha** – anti-anxiety, strengthens nerves * **Tagara (Valeriana)** – calming > These don’t sedate like modern anxiolytics, but **balance Vata** and support **nervous function** gradually. --- ## 🌿 3. **If You Need Stronger Relief from Anxiety/Concentration Issues** ### Add (for 2–3 months): | Medicine | Dose | Benefits | | -------------------------------- | --------------------- | --------------------------------- | | ******Vati (Gold optional)** | 1 tab twice daily | Calms anxiety, improves cognition | | ******Capsules** | 1 cap morning & night | Stress & energy support | | *********Ras** (Classical) | 125 mg once a day | Anxiety + focus | Or use a combination formula like: * ***********Homeo*** or *******Divya *****Vati*** (if available) --- ## 🧘‍♂️ 4. **Natural Lifestyle Tools for Anxiety & Focus** ### 🧠 For Concentration: * Morning **Sun exposure** for 20 mins (regulates serotonin/dopamine) * ******tea** or **********tea** (1 cup daily) * Study/work in **90-minute focus blocks** with 5-min breaks ### 😌 For Anxiety: * **Anulom Vilom Pranayama** – 10 minutes morning & evening * **Bhramari** (Humming bee breath) – calms vagus nerve * Warm sesame oil **abhyanga (self-massage)** on feet and scalp 3–4x/week --- ## 🧬 5. **Watch for Any Signs of Prostatitis Flare** * Mentat generally **won’t worsen prostatitis**. * But if you feel any **urinary issues, pelvic pain, or inflammation**, let your doctor know. To support that history, you can add: * ********* or ********** – once daily (for urinary/genito-urinary tone) --- ## ✍️ Summary: What You Can Do Now | Step | Action | | --------------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------------- | | ✅ Dosage | Continue **1 tab twice daily**, increase to 2x2 **after 2 weeks if needed** | | 🕒 Duration | Safe for **3–6 months** or more under review | | ➕ Support | Add *****+ ****Vati** for stronger relief | | 🧘‍♂️ Lifestyle | Do **pranayama, sun, foot massage** regularly | | 🚫 Avoid | Cold foods, erratic sleep, overstimulation (late-night screen use) | --- Would you like a **daily routine chart** or help selecting the **exact product brands** (based on your location)? I’m happy to personalize further. You’re on the right track—**anxiety and poor focus are reversible** with the right support. Advice- Consult me personally for details...

Prostatitis at the age of 24 is uncommon , you must go for repeat USG, btw what is the weight of Prostate , any medicine must be used under strict medical supervision so please avoid taking any medicine for long term before any doctor's advice , mentat contains buccopa and some other ingredients which should be used under ayurvedic doctors advice.

Hi, it's best to follow the dose advised by your doctor, even if the general recommendation on the bottle is higher. Your doctor may have considered your overall health, history of prostatitis, and current condition before suggesting a lower dose. Mentat is generally safe for long-term use, but duration and dosage should always be personalized. For anxiety, depression, and concentration issues, Ayurveda also includes: Medhya Rasayanas (like Brahmi, Ashwagandha, Shankhpushpi) Dietary changes Lifestyle correction Heartfulness or mindfulness practices Feel free to consult me directly for a customized and holistic Ayurvedic treatment plan.
