Hi there, A detailed history and mental status examination is mandatory to come to the final diagnosis. You have some of the symptoms which point towards psychotic disorders. The good point is that he knows that he has some mental illnesses. So compliance will be definitely likely to be good.
Next Steps
There is a need to take him to a mental health professional as early as possible. Early intervention is always better in any disorder. Both psychological and psychiatric medications are needed in this case.

Hello there. Sorry to hear about your brother. From your description it seems he is suffering from a psychotic disorder. This will need immediate attention through medical treatment. It is possible that he may not be able to make an informed decision at this point. In such a case the closest relatives can make a decision to facilitate his care. Kindly reach out to a nearby psychiatrist who could do a detailed assessment and suggest appropriate treatment. Best wishes.
Next Steps
Kindly reach out to a psychiatrist immediately. Your doctor will guide you appropriately.
Health Tips
Occasionally patients may refuse to visit a doctor. In such a scenario you and your parents could contact the psychiatrist with a detailed description of his problems. Your doctor could offer suggestions for such a scenario.
