What you're going through â uncontrollable overthinking, poor sleep, inability to concentrate, and years of exhaustion â sounds like anxiety disorder and/or depression. You are not alone, and this is very treatable with the right support. You've taken a brave first step by reaching out.
Next Steps
Please consult a psychiatrist online â they can give a proper diagnosis and start treatment (therapy + medication if needed). Consult me on Practo for further guidance.
The symptoms you have described can occur in depression, although similar symptoms may also be seen with anxiety, stress, sleep disturbances, or other conditions.
The important factors are the duration, severity, and impact of these symptoms on your daily functioning. If these symptoms have been persistent for more than two weeks, are worsening, or are significantly affecting your routine, work, relationships, sleep, or appetite, they should be taken seriously.
Please also pay attention to any thoughts of hopelessness, self-harm, or suicide. If you are experiencing such thoughts, seek immediate professional help and do not remain alone.
Avoid starting or stopping psychiatric medication on your own, as treatment should be based on a proper clinical assessment.
Thank you for sharing this. I know it isn't always easy to talk about personal struggles, so I'm glad you reached out.
I would recommend a detailed psychiatric consultation to understand the underlying cause and discuss the best treatment plan for you.
